The 18th Traditional Picnic Event, organized this year within the scope of the “2025 Year of the Family,” was held at the İncirharmanı Campus by Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) School of Foreign Languages as part of its annual spring celebration. BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and his wife Seran Özölçer, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, Director of the School of Foreign Languages Lecturer Okşan Dağlı, along with academic and administrative staff and students, attended the event.

Throughout the picnic, students enjoyed a pleasant time playing various games with their advisors after an intense period of preparation. Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer engaged in extensive conversations with the students participating in the event. Particularly delightful moments occurred during mutual conversations in which students shared their current academic experiences while Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer reminisced about his own student days.

During his speech at the picnic, Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer stated:

“We are very pleased to organize this year’s traditional picnic event, which is held annually by our School of Foreign Languages to celebrate the arrival of spring and our university's spring festivals, within the framework of the '2025 Year of the Family' as declared with the approval of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. At Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, it is one of our greatest sources of joy to come together with our students not only in academic settings but also through sports and cultural activities whenever possible. In this regard, I am truly delighted to come together with our students, academic, and administrative staff at this picnic organized by our School of Foreign Languages, and I would like to express my gratitude to the school administration for their kind invitation.”
