The opportunities and conveniences offered by technology, which is an indispensable part of the age we live in and the basis of the future, are an undeniable fact of our lives. In addition to all these contributions, the fact that the negative effects of digitalization have become a threat that is already present and has the potential to increase, emerges as the tragic dimension of this reality. Among these negative effects, "technology addiction", which is at the top of the list, carries the risk of a global virtual epidemic without any limitation. Sensitive to the fact that the fight against this threat should become a part of the "new normal" concept, which cannot be limited to the Covid-19 epidemic, ZBEÜN School of Foreign Languages hosted the conference on " Struggling with Technology Addiction" prepared and conducted by Youth Center in Kozlu district of Zonguldak province. In the event, which was held on May 12, 2022 and attended by college personnel and class representatives, striking information and statistics about technological tools (especially communication tools), violation of privacy, and the basis for committing various crimes (murder, assault, robbery, etc.) were shared. Also, the measures that can be taken against these risks were explained to the participants. The conference ended with the closing speech of Mr. Okşan DAĞLI and the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Serdar ÖZADA, Youth Center Youth Leader of Kozlu District of Zonguldak Province.
