Lingua Trek Dissemination Event Held Successfully

The dissemination event of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project “Lingua Trek: Transforming Foreign Language Education in Europe through a Digital Game-Based Approach”, coordinated by the School of Foreign Languages at Bülent Ecevit University, was held on June 5, 2026, at the Ali Arslan Conference Hall.

During the event, participants were introduced to the innovative practices developed throughout the project and the outcomes achieved. In the first session, the project team delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the objectives, activities, and outputs of the Lingua Trek Project. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the potential of digital game-based learning in foreign language education and the contributions of the project outputs to educational settings.

In the second session, Prof. Dr. Yasin Özarslan from Yaşar University delivered a presentation entitled “Digital Transformation in Education: A Threat or an Opportunity for Teachers?” He discussed the impact of digitalization on educational processes, highlighting its implications for teachers’ roles, learning environments, and instructional practices, while sharing current examples and insights with the audience.

The final part of the program featured a hands-on workshop focusing on the classroom integration of the Lingua Trek game. Participants explored practical ways of incorporating the game into foreign language lessons and examined sample classroom applications.

The event attracted considerable interest and made a significant contribution to disseminating the project results among educational stakeholders while promoting digital game-based learning approaches. We would like to thank all academics, teachers, and stakeholders who participated in and contributed to this valuable event.
