Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University has adopted a quality assurance system in order to achieve its strategic objectives, which are aligned with its mission, vision, and core values. Within the framework of national and international external evaluation criteria, the University aims to become an effective, efficient, competitive, and entrepreneurial institution at both national and international levels by enhancing its management system, both qualitatively and
quantitatively, through quality-oriented education and training, research and development, and social contribution activities that have a significant impact at regional and national levels. Our University has adopted an approach that integrates the national quality assurance system—developed by adapting international quality assurance standards within the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015 – Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the
European Higher Education Area), which originated within the framework of the Bologna Process, to the institutional external evaluation criteria of the Turkish higher education system—with our regional and national culture, thereby establishing its own quality assurance system. Within this system, the University conducts all its activities in compliance with international standards and relevant legal requirements and adopts a quality-oriented
management system based on the satisfaction of our students and all other stakeholders, continuous improvement through regular monitoring, and sustainability.
In this context, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University has adopted the following principles in all its activities:
- Ensuring the participation of all stakeholders,
- Adopting a management approach based on clearly defined processes, continuous evaluation, and improvement,
- Ensuring the effective use of resources.
The principles of this system, embraced by all members of staff, are:
- Satisfaction of all stakeholders, particularly students,
- Process-oriented operational management,
- A culture of continuous improvement based on regular review,
- Effective use of resources.
Within this framework, our Quality Objectives are as follows:
- To ensure the active participation of academic staff, administrative staff, and students in quality assurance processes,
- To prevent all forms of discrimination in employment and the working environment,
- To strictly adhere to the principle set out in Article 10 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye: “Everyone is equal before the law without distinction as to language, race, colour, sex, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion and sect, or any such grounds,”
- To establish the participation of external stakeholders in quality assurance processes as a regular institutional practice.
