The second installment of our "Meeting Corner: Academics and Alumni Sharing" event, held at the School of Foreign Languages, was successfully concluded between December 9-13, 2024. Each day, valuable faculty members from relevant departments, along with our alumni who received English education at our school and have since achieved significant careers, joined us.
During these meaningful gatherings in our conference hall, our faculty members discussed their departments and the promising career opportunities they offer, while our alumni shared their experiences, guiding our current students. Videos sent by our alumni who were unable to attend in person due to being out of town served as a great source of inspiration for our students.
A testament to the success of our event was a statement made by one of our students after the program: "Today was truly wonderful; I'm so glad I came."
Our events took place in the following order:
- Monday: Murat GENÇ (Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences), Alumna Yeliz GÜLER AYAN - Ziraat Bank
- Tuesday: Prof. Dr. Kubilay ÖNEM & Asst. Prof. Mualla TOKSAN, Students Ömer Can MADAN & Zehra YILMAZ
- Wednesday: Haşim DURU (Faculty of Engineering)
- Thursday: Özlem AYDIN ÖZTÜRK (English Language and Literature), Alumna Buse DOĞAN (Sınav College)
- Friday: Prof. Ayşe ÖÇAL (Çaycuma Vocational School of Applied English and Translation)
Our School Director, Lecturer Okşan DAĞLI, evaluated the event week by saying, "This event is not just a gathering but also an investment in the future. The experiences our alumni share with our students will be a significant turning point in their career journeys."
We would like to thank all our speakers who made this event possible, our students who contributed significantly by sending videos and filling the conference hall, our School Director Lect. Okşan DAĞLI who guided the Meeting Corner, Lecturer Dr. Gizem Parsova for her contribution to organizing the event on Tuesday at Çaycuma Vocational School, Lect. Gökhan Genç for helping with the preparation of our poster, and our Asistant Directors Lect. Ulaş KOÇAK and Lect. Dr. Duygu SAĞLAM, who played a major role in the organization.
